	Shirouma-so, which stands at the foot of the Hakuba Happo-one slopes, is a modern Japanese ryokan combining traditional Japanese architecture with a modern Japanese style. Shirouma-so is a long standing hot-springs inn with rooms enjoying large picture windows that face the Northern Alps. 	The Yamanasato Inn Hakuba Hifumi boasts deluxe rooms with private open-air rotenburo baths and a combination of Japanese and Western-style spaces. There are 3 type of rooms. Japanese-style special room which is 6 tatami wide (25 square metres). Bihada-no Yu, a hot spring you can enjoy the spring drawn from the Hakuba Happo Onsen. Japanese-style standard rooms (8 rooms) with 8 tatami spaces and entrance space. Spacious guest rooms for relaxation and comfort. For two people (3 rooms) with 8 tatami spaces and a balcony. 	Ryokan Ougiya Featuring traditional Japanese-style accommodation with futon bedding, tatami-mat floors and yukata robes, Ougiya Ryokan is 5 minutes from Hakuba Happo-One Ski Field on the free shuttle. It offers massages and Japanese cuisine. The heated rooms at Ryokan Ougiya come with an LCD TV and an electric kettle with green tea. A low table with floor cushions fits perfectly with the simple zen decor. Some rooms have a private bath. Guests can enjoy hot-spring baths at sister hotel Hakuba Hotel Ougiya, connected via an underground passage. Japanese dishes can be enjoyed at the dining room. 	Matsunoki-tei is a 4-minute walk from Tsugaike Kogen Lift. It provides public baths, a ski storage service, and rooms with free internet access. The property is an 8-minute drive from Hakuba Norikura Onsen Ski Resort. JR Hakuba-Oike Station and Hakuba Iwatake Ski Resort are within a 15-minute drive away. Both Western and Japanese-style rooms are available. Fitted with heating facilities and a fan, they offer a TV, bathroom amenities and slippers. Some rooms have a private bath. Breakfast and a Japanese set menu dinner are served at Matsunoki-tei’s dining room.
	Marukin Ryokan The Marukin Ryokan is a Japanese-style resort hotel with a fabulous new look, yet retaining a nostalgic atmosphere. This accommodation is a casual and warm traditional-style inn where you can enjoy the abundant nature of the surroundings all year round. 	Gensennoyado Maruishi Inn is a Japanese-style inn with traditional hospitality and staff wearing kimono. The inn is only a five minute walk to the Happo-one ski area. 	Hakuba Gakuenso is Japanese-style inn that has been in business for over 70 years. All guest rooms are Japanese-style with kotatsu (warming tables) and hot spring bath. Meals are a combination of Japanese and Western style using lot of homemade rice and vegetables. Other meals by request. 	La Karinkan is most suited to those with their own transport and who wish to explore the area. Located in an idyllic rural setting it is close to onsen hot springs (2 km), 'Snow Harp' cross-country skiing (3 km) and Goryū ski area (5 km).
